Program Dates: May 19 - June 9, 2018
Experience intercultural communication in Central Europe! Join faculty from the School of Communication and the Department of English as we study the ways in which various cultures create and share meaning! Learn about the role English plays in the world of travel, business and commerce, education, politics, and culture in Europe!
Students spend one week in Krosno, Poland at Krosno State College, in the Southern part of the country and one week in Krakow, working with students and faculty at Jagellonian University and one week in the metropolitan Prague, Czech Republic with students and faculty from Anglo-American University and Prague College. These areas have been chosen because visiting all three regions allows us to examine and understand the commonalities and differences in the people, their cultures and communication styles, and in the position of English as an international language. The program is open to both graduate and undergraduate students from ECU and other universities.
